Dorothy L. (Ledo) Kehoe, affectionately known as Dottie by her friends and family, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on December 3, 2023, at Dawn Hill Nursing in Bristol, Rhode Island. Born on February 11, 1929, in East Providence, Rhode Island, she was the cherished daughter of the late Caetano and Louise Gold (Dourado) Ledo. Dorothy was the wife of the late George Kehoe. She was predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth T. Ledo, Manuel P. Ledo, and Nancy A. Cute. Her legacy continues through the lives of her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who will forever hold her memory dear.

Dottie dedicated over 25 years of diligent service as a machine operator for the Green Brothers Box Company before her well-earned retirement. Her strong work ethic and the camaraderie she shared with her colleagues remained a source of pride and joy throughout her life.

A lifelong resident of East Providence, Dottie was a devout parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring her with a sense of purpose and grace. She was the embodiment of love, kindness, and faith, qualities that illuminated the lives of all who knew her.

Dottie found great pleasure in simple joys. She was an expert at crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that served as tokens of her affection for friends and family. Her presence was a staple at the local senior center, where she engaged with her community, sharing stories and laughter. A spirit for adventure led her to embrace traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing the wonders of the world.

Above all, Dottie will be remembered for the love she shared unconditionally and the warmth she brought into every room. Her kindness was a beacon that guided others through their darkest times. Her faith provided a foundation that not only supported her through life's challenges but also inspired those around her to live with hope and gratitude.

As we bid farewell to Dottie, we reflect on a life well-lived, a journey marked by compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to cross her path. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to guide and comfort us.

A life such as Dottie's is not to be mourned but to be celebrated. As we gather to honor her memory, we are reminded of the lessons she taught us through her example: to cherish each moment, to extend kindness without expectation, and to nurture our faith with the same fervor she did.

Dottie's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dawn Hill Nursing and the Anchor Bay staff ,for their compassionate care and support during her final days. Their dedication to her well-being provided comfort not only to Dottie but also to her loved ones.

Dorothy L. (Ledo) Kehoe's journey through life was a testament to the enduring power of love and faith. As we say our goodbyes, we take solace in knowing that her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. Rest in peace, dear Dottie, your memory will forever be a blessing.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023 at 8:00am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street , East Providence.

Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, 661 Prospect Street, Pawtucket.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend . Calling Hours are Saturday MORNING from 8:00am -9:30am at the funeral home.
