Dorothy E. (Lewis) Angell-Hanfield, 92, of Glenrose Drive, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Angell and the late Ernest Hanfield.

Born in Medina, New York, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Zyons) Lewis, she had lived in Cumberland and Lincoln for many years, before moving to Riverside.

Mrs. Angell Hanfield worked as a switchboard operator at the former William H. Haskell Mfg. Co., Pawtucket, before retiring. She was a former communicant of Saint Brendan’s Church, Riverside.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Angell of West Greenwich, and Robin O’Connell, and her husband Jerome, of Cumberland; one son, Paul Angell of Derry, New Hampshire; and two grandchildren, Lillie O’Connell and Kelly O’Connell. She was the sister of the late Louise Dupuis.

Her funeral, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland, will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to CharterCARE Home Health Services, 50 Maude Street, Providence, R.I. 02908 would be appreciated.
