Doris Y. (Dutremble) Callegaro

Doris Y. (Dutremble) Callegaro, 92, formerly of Riverside, died peacefully on Saturday September 21, 2019 at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag, RI.

Born in Woonsocket on October 23, 1926 to the late Edouard and Aurore (Lamothe) Dutremble, she lived in Riverside from 1949-2013.

She was the wife of the late Louis “Red” Callegaro, owner and operator of Callegaro News in Riverside for many years who passed away in 2003.

Doris was a communicant of St. Brendan Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the East Providence and Barrington Senior Centers, Daughters of Isabella, Forever Young Club, the AARP Chapter #1302, the Red Hatters and the Royal Travelers.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Philip) Kaczorowski of North Smithfield and Louise (Charles) Sternburg of Hendersonville, NC. Memere to two grandsons, Peter and Mark Kaczorowski and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Jean R. Dutremble Sr., Jeanne d’Arc Lynch, Cecille Remillard and Gabrielle Levesque.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 25, 2019 in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
