Charles G. Domina, Jr. 93, of East Providence, passed away on January 29, 2018, at Miriam Hospital after a short illness.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Charles G. Domina, Sr. and Mary (Maynard) Domina.

He graduated from Pawtucket's East High School and served 3 years in the Army during WWII.

After the war he returned to Pawtucket and married Gladys (Morton) Domina (deceased). He worked for the Blackstone Valley Gas & Electric Company for 40 years before retiring in 1987.

During his retirement he took great pride in his volunteer work for the United Methodist Elder Care in East Providence. He drove the van for many years taking the residents shopping, dining and on many other assorted outings. As he was less able to drive he continued to volunteer by keeping the Country Store shelves stocked, quietly performing this service behind the scenes.

He is survived by his son Douglas Domina and his wife Valerie; three grandchildren, Susan Domina, Sheryl Heimann, and Marc Domina and his wife Elizabeth; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Michelle, and Matthew Heimann, and Luke and Gavin Domina; and a sister, Deborah McCray of Sheffield Lake, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 Woodland Street, Lincoln, RI 02865, at 4pm Sunday February 11, 2018.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be sent to the Wesley United Methodist Church.
