Carol Ann Decoteaux, 72, of East Providence, died Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Evergreen House Health Center. Born in Providence, she is the daughter of Marion F. (Bloom) Decoteaux resident of Evergreen House Health Center, East Providence and the late Louis T. Decoteaux. Carol grew up with her parents and siblings in South Attleboro MA. She was nicknamed ‘Dec’ by her high school friends.

Carol proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era, working in Personnel at Travis Air Force base. She later worked as an Aircraft Instrument Technician for the US government while living in CA and later CT. She was a member of Newman Congregational Church.

In addition to her mother, she leaves her sister, Diane Poirier & her husband Ed of North Attleboro and Edward Decoteaux & his wife Sandy of East Providence. She was the sister of the late Steven Decoteaux. She leaves her niece, Keri Decoteaux and two great-nephews, James and Elijah of Burrillville; her nephew Clayton Decoteaux and his wife Melissa of West Palm Beach, FL.; and her longtime partner Kathleen Foltz of East Providence.

Her funeral and burial with Military Honors in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Newman Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 100 Newman Avenue, Rumford, RI 02916 will be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.H. Williams & Co. Funeral Home.
