Barbara P. Gagnon, 87, of Lantern Lane, Riverside, died peacefully on September 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Gagnon.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mabel (Bourbon) McAteer, she lived in Riverside for 61 years.

Mrs. Gagnon was a bank teller for the former Rhode Island Hospital Trust Bank for 31 years before retiring in 1984.

Barbara was a communicant and volunteer at St. Brendan Church. She was a member of the International Order of Alhambra.

She is survived by four sons, Thomas R. Gagnon and his wife Susan of Riverside, Robert G. Gagnon and his wife Leslie of Riverside, Michael J. Gagnon of Riverside and Paul A. Gagnon of Barrington; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Arthur, Alfred, Joseph and Raymond McAteer.

Her funeral will be held on Friday September 15, 2017 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
