Anthony Roy Roza, 91, of Orchard Street, a retired salesman and warehouse manager died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the RI Veteran’s Home in Bristol, Rhode Island.

He was the husband of the late Florence Isabel (Carey) Roza. Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Branco) Roza. He was a lifelong resident of the City and a graduate of East Providence High School.

Anthony had been a salesman and warehouse manager for the S&M Distributing Company in Greenville, Rhode Island and previously worked as a layout and production supervisor for the former Custom Woodworking Company of East Providence.

A Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, he served with the Fourth Battalion, Tenth Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division. As a boating enthusiast, he was a member and a past President of the B.A.I.A, on the Kickemuit River in Bristol, where he and his family enjoyed their summers. Boating the “Meme” on Narragansett Bay was always a “Good Day”.

He leaves two sons, Anthony M. Roza Orange County, California and David J. Roza and his wife Jo-Ann of Bristol, Rhode Island; two grandsons, Joshua and his wife Sarah and Dylan; one step granddaughter Brandy; and two great step grandchildren Alexandrea and Kiya. He was the brother of the late Lester Rose and Mae Tress.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9am in St. Francis Xavier Church, N. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8pm.
