Anne Boone Lambert

Anne Boone Lambert, 88, passed into eternal rest on July 18, 2018. Born on July 13, 1930, in Winton Township, North Carolina to Robert C. Boone and Ollie E. Lang Boone, Anne earned a bachelor of science degree at North Carolina A&T University and a master’s degree at Bowie State University. For the majority of her working career, she was a beloved guidance counselor in the East Providence, Rhode Island Public School System until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for over 65 years.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents and by seven siblings: Selma E. Lima, Ruby S. Hill, Emma King, Lucy L. Boone, Clinton W. Boone, Leroy Boone, and Edward Boone.

Left to cherish her memory are four children: Victor Abdul-Rahman (Rita), Raymond A. Lambert, Jr. (Patricia Caldwell), Pamela G. Lambert (Jeff Gill), Charles K. Lambert (Carrie); six grandchildren: Kameela and Nailah Abdul-Rahman, Shehu Muhammad, Raymond A. Lambert, III, Charles K. Lambert, II and Faith Lambert; two siblings: Walter R. Boone and Bradford S. Boone; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A wake in celebration of Anne’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Friends and family may call from 5 – 8 pm at the Perry McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, RI. A funeral service and burial will be held on August 4, 2018, in Cofield, NC
