Ann Quinn, age 95, of Newman Ave., Rumford, passed away Friday, June 28th at Cherry Hill Manor. Born in Providence, a daughter of Michael and Stephanida (Kozlowska) Kaya.

She attended Providence and East Providence Schools. She trained at the RI Hospital and became a private duty nurse until her retirement. She organized and became the Charter President of the East Providence Emblem Club #428 and was presented an Honorary Life Membership upon completion of her term.

She also organized Emblem Clubs at the Elks Lodges in Smithfield, Coventry-West Greenwich, West Warwick and Bristol County. In 1977 she was installed as the Supreme President of the Supreme Emblem Club of the USA in Hawaii and traveled throughout the country serving the affiliated clubs. She served as the Supreme Scholarship Awards Chairman for many years for the Supreme Emblem Club. In Rhode Island she served as Supreme Advisor to the RI State Association of Emblem Clubs and was active in charitable endeavors.

She was the sister of the late Olga Wood, Stanley Kaya and Helen Pratt. She was the former wife of Francis Quinn and the mother of the late Carol Ann Quinn. She is survived by a niece and 3 nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation Tuesday morning, July 2, from 9am until 10am, in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Her funeral and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the West Warwick Emblem Club #454, PO Box 45, West Warwick, RI 02893.
