Albert A. Means Sr., R.N.

Albert A. Means Sr., R.N. 66 passed away Thursday July 6, 2017 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl L. (Rhodes) Means. Born in Kansa City, Missouri he was a son of the late Morris and Doris J. (Melson) Means. He worked as a registered nurse for the VA Hospital. Albert was a member of Church of God and Saints of Christ Temple Beth El where he held the position of Father Abraham. He was also a member of the group Sons of Abraham at the church. Albert enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Albert A. Means Jr., daughter-in-law Nadia Good of East Providence, one daughter LaGina Smith of Providence, one brother Frankie Means, six grandchildren Brandon Davis, Maurice Lee, Aaron Means, Alexandra Good, Sariah Smith, Naomi Good, one great grandson Mason Lee, two godchildren McGeary and Ryen Brown, Cousins Janice Warner, Cheryl Melson, brother in law of Elder James A. Rhodes III, Claudette Rhodes, George Rhodes and his wife Glenda, Linda Denison, Loretta Brooks and her husband Lennon Brooks and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ronald and Morris Means, and brother-in-law of the late Bruce C. Rhodes. His funeral will be held on Monday July 17, 2017 at 11 AM in Church of God and Saints of Christ, Temple Beth El 105 Dodge Street, Providence. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday July 16, 2017 from 1-4PM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
