Nicholas D. Maio, 90 passed away Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Anna (Massarotti) Maio to whom he was married for 66 years. Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Domenic and Philomena (DiSanto) Maio. Nicholas was a WWII Navy Veteran, and worked for the US Postal Service as a truck driver and Canm Typesetters as a delivery driver. He was an avid sports fan. In addition to his wife he was survived by his son Michael Maio and his wife Debra, two daughters Cheryl Maio and Shelley Brent, two grandsons Edward Sousa and Michael Maio, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Patrick Maio, Ann McAllister and his twin sister Theresa Morin. His funeral and visitation will begin Monday March 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
